This half term holiday, the CLA programme had a blast exploring their creativity and STEM skills at Maker Space. They used resin, spray paint, clay, and joining materials to create their own spooky monster creations. Each creation was unique. I wonder what Maker Space has in store for our Christmas workshop?!
On Tuesday, the children learnt the basics of pottery and created their own Halloween pottery with Leafy Lane Pottery. They had a fun-filled afternoon with Fantastic Faces – Halloween craft activities, fangtastic face paint and games. The children took their creations home to enjoy, and we hope they're displayed proudly!
At Goxhill Meadows, the children worked as a team to care for animals, learn about their needs and practiced mindfulness whilst spending time with the animals in nature. They enjoyed a guided mindfulness walk through the farm's meadows and woodlands – a great way to relax and de-stress, and to connect with nature.
We finished the week with an autumnal Forest School experience. Forest School aims to develop children's self-confidence and self-esteem through learner-inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting. The children built dens, explored nature, wadded through water and played team games in the great outdoors. They learned about the natural environment and developed important life skills like problem-solving and teamwork.
We hope they had a wonderful time learning and exploring with us. We look forward to more fun adventures!
