Yesterday we had the pleasure of being invited to the University of Hull for their annual Volunteer Academy celebrating Student Volunteering Week at the Student Union. We were delighted to see so many young people interested in giving their time to support the children of the community in growing their dreams. One of the wonderful things about volunteering with us is the decision lies with our volunteers on how much time they choose to give, with experiences ranging from 2 hours long to 36 hours long (on our overnights) and no minimum commitment, volunteering for HEYCU can fit alongside almost all prior schedules.
Working with children means that every experience is different and can provide a welcome break from the monotony of the everyday. We always appreciate our volunteers and recognise the value they bring to our services and the inspiration they provide for children.
