The children in Year 5 at Hall Road Academy have been part of a project funded by the University of Hull this academic year. As part of this, they have been on five of our learning experiences: a day visit to London, 'Ambassadors of Hull', a business visit, a university visit and 'One Day Play' delivered by The Herd.
The project is designed to get children thinking about their futures and what life can be like at university. This group was able to visit the University of Hull's Aura Innovation Centre. There, they learned about what can be studied, including working on projects such as sustainable solutions to flooding, 3D printing and the science behind making a rocket. They even finished off the day with a graduation ceremony complete with cap and gown!
