Mike McGrath, Head at The Parks Academy, recently completed his first half marathon, The Great North Run in aid of HEY Children's University!
Mike said 'I wanted to run The Great North Run on behalf of Hull & East Yorkshire Children's University as they have supported my school, children and families a lot in recent years. I wanted to be able to give something back to the charity for everything they do for us. Also, personally I had a knee reconstruction operation in November and this came at a perfect time to give me an excuse to get fit.
Mike really pushed himself to complete this amazing challenge and raised over ÂŁ500 in the process and we are so grateful for his determination and support. Support like this means so much to the team at HEY CU but also the children we work with. Thank you again, Mike for championing our cause. You've made a real difference! đź‘Ź
