We love the half term holidays and a chance to invite the young people on to campus for some fun activities. Our new Year 7 Step Up Move On students had their first visit to the University of Hull last Tuesday. We had a super tour exploring the campus and a taster session with the University Sports Development staff inspiring the young people with the options available to them.
An added bonus was meeting some Hull FC players whilst having lunch! The children were very excited to see them and they were a super inspiration to their young minds; taking the time to chat with the children and making them feel so special! What a great first experience of University life!
On Wednesday we had a super morning with our Year 8 Step Up Move On students. We were treated to a tour of the drama facilities at the University of Hull and a fascinating workshop on Stage Lighting. The young people loved hearing about all of the different jobs available in theatre!
Finally, a huge thank you to David Lund for a fascinating photography workshop with our Year 8 Step Up Move On students. They were truly inspired by the different roles given and amazing techniques they learned. It was a lovely session for a lovely group of young people!
